Web page updates
I (again) updated the backend part of my web page. My old solution using an SQLite database was a bit over-engineered. Now I just keep the list of blog posts updated by hand — I don’t post very often anyway. I use GNU Make to update the changed files. I write all my posts using Markdown as before, but I added a preprocessing script that generates HTML entities for some symbols I use often. For example three dashes becomes an — (—) and two back-ticks a left double quote “ (“). The syntax is the same as used in LaTeX.
While I was at it, I also updated the CSS a bit. I now have a simpler menu at the top of the page. I also made the font specification a bit more specific.
