Back from WSOM 2007 in Bielefeld
I returned from the WSOM 2007 conference held in Bielefeld, Germany a week ago on Friday. The conference site has a gallery of pictures from the first three days, and I put up some of my own pictures on Flickr.
The conference, or rather workshop, on the Self-Organising Map, was really nice, with many interesting topics. The city of Bielefeld was nice, however I was surprised to see that most buildings in the old city looked so new. Many were of course repainted and renovated, but I was expecting a lot more of “old” in the old city. The churches were nice though. And the Sparrenburg Castle was really interesting, with a great guided tour.
